Rendition of National Anthem on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav
As part of India@75, around 1500+ employees from NMDC uploaded their rendition of the National Anthem with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The participants were asked to sing to pre-installed instrumental music after which they were given certificates for their rendition of the National Anthem.



AKAM Branding on AP Express
In its committed endeavour to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence, NMDC has branded the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav official logo extensively on AP Express. It has also set up displays and banners on NMDC bus shelters and on barricades at Hyderabad International Airport. These branding activities are a part of a shared initiative to celebrate the making of the nation and contribute to its self-reliance.

Participation by employees, their families and relatives in the ‘Fit India Freedom Run 2.0’
A Cancer Awareness Run was held on 10th October, 2021 in Hyderabad, as part of India’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, in partnership with the Grace Cancer Foundation, Hyderabad. To encourage everyone to fight for freedom from cancer, the freedom marathons were conducted in three categories - 5K, 10K, and 21.1K, in person and virtually, across the globe. As part of a larger awareness campaign, the flyer for the Run was unveiled on 22nd August, 2021, followed by a virtual Awareness Talk on ‘Debunking Myths of Cancer’ by a panel of medical experts and doctors on 4th September, 2021.

Mega Chess Tournament and Interactive Session with students
400 students from Class I to XII participated in the two-day tournament inaugurated on Gandhi Jayanti. A quiz competition was also conducted for students in three categories - Junior, Sub Junior and Senior on the topic of the Indian Independence Movement. Following the quiz, an interactive session was organized for the students wherein the participants spoke about their meaning of ‘Azadi’ and their favourite freedom fighters. Students of St. Ann’s College for Women were also engaged in a Rapid Quiz related to Freedom Fighters of India.

Swachh Bharat and Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at NMDC Head Office
NMDC celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Swach Bharat Abhiyan at the Head Office in Hyderabad. While addressing the gathering, Shri Sumit Deb highlighted that NMDC’s core value of responsible mining is derived from the principles of Gandhiji and its service to the nation the company is dedicated to building a self-reliant India. He emphasized that as citizens of the nation, it is our collective responsibility towards the making of a New India.
